The Rules to IC Posting:
The Rules to Posting OOC:
*Please Note That Not Knowing The Rules Is Not An Excuse For Breaking Them!*
1. Please keep post's to at least 150 words (minimum) This is for IC posts. No one-liners. Keep it interesting!
2. Correct grammar and spelling appreciated! Please pick up mistakes you may have made. This just make's thing's so much easier, and enjoyable to read.
3. Swearing. Now, I realize that this is a board like any other. It's an academy for teenagers. Therefore, we will allow swearing, as long as it is moderate. You will know if it is censored or not when you post. The word hell is not considered a swear word, in my book.
4. A teacher CAN NOT be your first character. You must RP a student for at least 50 in character posts before you can make a staff character.
5. Go to the thread "Class List" and fill out the form so that an admin to make your schedule.
6. This site has no rating (PG-13 etc) But pleaaaaseee keep swearing to a minimum. If you are sure there will be allot of bad language in your IC thread please say so in the threads title.
7. Keep at least a little balance between genders. Too many girls means too many catfights in the end. Also, please put allot of detail into your character applications. We like to know allot about your characters, and would also appreciate it if we could have a fairly even amount of horse and human characters. We'll be keeping tabs on this.
Please wait for a member of staff to accept your character before you post.
8. NO SPAM. Spam, in this form, is considered any post that is completely OOC in an IC board/thread.
9. The title or post itself must have the word "Open" in it for others to be allowed to post in the thread. If the thread does not have open, has the word "Closed," or has a character's name, you may not post there, unless you are the character they want to post there.
10. Mary-Sues/Despies/Perfect Characters and Drama Queens/Kings are a no-no. Perfect characters are the ones with the best looks, the best personality, the best smarts, the best strength, etc, etc. Make your characters unique, well thought out and interesting, please!
11. Max of two horse's per student. If you decide to stud a horse, you can only accept one stud request a month and trust me, I keep track.
When a mare is pregnant she will remain thus for two weeks. Don't worry, a due date will be provided.
Twins are rare but can be requested via PM to me (Dale).
While a mare is pregnant, she can not be ridden. Please keep that in mind.
*Changes/additions to rules can be made at anytime. Make sure to check back here once or twice every week or so to make sure you don't miss a new rule.*
[/size]The Rules to Posting OOC:
1. No spamming! OOC spam is, of course, relentless advertising of another board or something else by PM, chatbox, and posts. Please advertise in the specified board, "Advertising and Affiliating."
2. Swearing in OOC must be kept to a minimum. We mean this. Please try to keep swear words to a minimum in OOC.
3. Please, please, please be nice to each other! We don't necessarily mean to join hands and sing kumbayah, but we do mean that we want to keep everything as kind here as possible. If you do get into an argument with another member, then please, take it off the forum. We ask that all mean opinions be kept to themselves, and that if you are going to give constructive crit on anything, that it isn't mean.
5. Use spell check and proper grammar even in OOC! Oooh, yes, we're being hard on you now, aren't we? We like to understand posts, that's all, and proper grammar and spelling help us. Mild-moderate netspeak may be used OOC, but posts cannot contain complete netspeak.
6. Stay on topic in OOC threads! If you have something off the topic of the thread, then please don't put it in that thread. Do a new thread. Nobody wants to hear about your new bike in a thread about the presidential candidates.
Consequences for breaking an OOC posting rule:
Same as IC posting rules.
