HAIR COLOR: Dirty Blonde
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: 6"½'
APPEARANCE: Quin is on the tall side, but not extraordinarily so. He is also very fit, and lean: it's clear he keeps himself in good shape (and works hard to make it stay that way —not everything in life comes easy, you know). He has sandy, dirty blonde hair kept short and slightly messy at times, and icy blue eyes. His trademark smile, the Casimire grin, a charming lop-sided smirk, is plastered on his face at random times. He is nicely tanned, although not overly so, and is often seen grinning with a mischievous smile. Fashion wise when he isn't in his riding uniforms (consisting of dark slacks, a white button-up shirt, a jacket, boots and occasionally a hat), he tends to wear comfortable clothes: jeans, flannel shirts, sneakers and if it's cold out, a sweater with a hood.

TWO SEATS INSIDE AN EMPTY ROOM
with one more night what’s left to lose
with one more night what’s left to lose
DISLIKES: silence, the idea of staying still too long, people who can't take a joke, boundaries, rules, restrictions, being alone, people who put others down (he doesn't do that, he just annoys them in other ways)
HOPES: to win a national title, to become a physics teacher (crazy and seemingly impossible, but true) or engineer, to find his father.
FEARS: failure, rejection, having others turn their backs on him when he needs them the most, falling seriously ill.
SECRETS: He has a secret hope to overcome his childish nature and actually get a steady girlfriend, but he'd never admit to that. Also, he tends to keep it a secret that he was once in jail for robbery.
PERSONALITY: It's hard to describe Quin's personality as he is rather complex. At first glance he is a rogue, charming miscreant with a lot of potential but no discipline. He likes women, a lot, and has a nasty habit of skirt chasing and womanizing. Although this habit tends to get him into some sticky situations, especially when the girl he's after has a not so friendly beau, over all he is smooth, and charming enough to get himself out of trouble (most of the time).
Quin has a mouth on him, another aspect of his personality that gets him into trouble. He has a disregard for authority, and purposely ignores most accepted social boundaries. He does fight a lot due to his hot tempered nature, more so being the antagonist than the one being attacked. He enjoys seeing how far he can push people before they snap. You could call it a past time of his.
He also has a pathological need to win, at any cost. This often lends itself to him cheating, bending the rules, or taking the most seemingly insane approach to a situation. This kamikaze attitude is both a great strength to him, and a weakness. For all the good it does, all the risks he takes and the success he makes...he also suffers the consequences at times as well.
When he sobers up and takes something seriously, he is 101% devoted. He will do whatever it takes to complete the mission at hand (included the aforementioned cheating) and is very loyal to those he trusts, and feels responsible for. Quin isn't the type to abuse his own power. He takes on the responsibility with great conviction (again, at times this seems to fade to the background,) and quickly adapts to his roles.
Through it all, Quin has a good sense of humor, and love for life and all its... sensations. He is a thrill seeker, and loves adventure. The idea of the unknown is fascinating to him, and he is confident that he has the right company to explore it with.[/ul]

HISTORY: Jacob C. Harlequin was born in Riverside, Iowa, to Lilly and Ashleigh Harlequin, two homosexual mothers who signed for a donor to have their son. The mother he was impregnated in was Lilly Harlequin, thus using her surname as he had genes from her, and not Ashleigh. Due to extenuating circumstances, he 'lost' his father, as he didn't know who he was at all. Neither of his mothers would tell him.
So Quin was raised in Iowa by his two mothers, finding nothing wrong without having a father. Of course, in school he was bothered about it, and to prove that he could be just as 'normal' as any other boy, he began acting out. Thus at his young age, Quin had the rebellious streak. He was a bit of a bully, and god knows what else as a young boy, and when he was twelve, he was known for disobeying all of his school rules.
By the age of fourteen, Quin was a rebel without a cause, finding himself on the wrong side of the law quite often. His uncle, Christopher, challenged him to do something with his life, and live up to his true potential. He convinced Quin to go off to a boarding school so he could learn what it was like in the real world. Not impressed, Quin laughed it off, but ultimately his uncle convinced him to enlist. To where?
Firefly Fields Academy and Stable. His mothers' choice, of course.
In the end, Quin packed up and left his home in Iowa, both enthused yet not, and attended the academy, doing moderately well (despite all the female distractions). After his sophomore year, his mothers decided to move close by so that they were in Kentucky as well. Here, they bought Quin a dog, which he named Romeo. It's kept in their house, however, so the dog is not on campus.
Besides his still rebellious, conceited and flirtatious attitude, Quin is doing fairly well in school and has even taken up riding, going home to visit his mothers during weekends or holidays. He still has two years of school to go, though, and who knows what trouble he could get himself into in those couple of years.[/ul]

RP SAMPLE: Hey! Guess which site this was from. ;)
Skipping class. That only went with one word: routine. Quin's routine everyday was to find a way to skip class. That was a challenge, and it made school life a whole lot more fun than it usually was. This was good, in fact, since so far nothing interesting had ever happened with Quin.
Except that breakout with Giselle. And the arrival of JJ. And that incident with Tobi.
Alright, maybe he did have a rather complex life at the moment. But still, Quin would definitely keep skipping class to get the whole feel for fun and of course, to avoid learning. Learning was not fun. At all.
Quin had faked a fever in the morning, using a hairdryer to heat his head, asked his roommate to feel his forehead and that was that. The boy actually though Quin had a fever. After the first bell, Quin made it out of the school and intended on going to the mall.
Yeah, the mall. Unexpectedly, the male had ended up at Osmond Lake. Why? Because that’s just how he was. You intend to go to the Foxtrot trail, you end up in the girl’s dorm. You want to head to the horse stalls, you reach the common area. You want to go to the mall, you end up here.
That was him, and that was the usual.
But what was unusual today was that there was another person near the lake. It was a girl, probably not much older than the junior himself. She had blonde hair and blue eyes, a little like Quin himself except that his own hair was dark.
Cautiously, he walked closer to her only to notice that she had been crying. Though a womanizer and a rogue-like child, Quin had a heart in the right place. ”Hey… you okay there?” he asked, worried.
